Why Foodbomb is the pick for one of Balmain's favourite cafes

Earlier this month, we sat down to chat to Lee - the owner of Kafeine, to learn more about why he loves and has continued to use the Foodbomb platform for a couple of years now.

Foodbomb: Lee, thank you for sitting down with me! Tell me about your role in the business and how involved are you in it?

Lee, Owner of Kafeine: I’m a hands-on business owner so my role changes throughout the day depending on what is thrown at me.

F: What do you think made you register with Foodbomb?

L: Two years ago I saw Foodbomb on Facebook, and a couple days later Ed from your onboarding team dropped in. The features caught my interest and I loved the idea of having one Account Manager for all suppliers. 

F: What are some reasons you continue to order on our platform?

L: Definitely the savings I’ve been able to make with the comparisons tool and how transparent everything is, making comparisons super easy to do. 

F: Are there any problems that Foodbomb has been able to solve for you? 

L: Yes, the weekly payments! I used to pay seven different suppliers separately and I would waste half a day doing this. I now only have to worry about one account and I save quite a bit of time.

F: Have you found it easy to trial new suppliers and use a number of them at the same time?

L: Super easy, the fact that I didn’t need multiple accounts for each supplier is incredible. There is no commitment to a supplier, if I haven’t liked a supplier I’ve moved onto the next. 

Many of the wholesale suppliers have multiple products, I like that I can get my small goods and poultry from YCC and all my seafood and dry goods from Foodlink. 

F: How would you describe Foodbomb? 

L: A smart ordering platform that helps hospitality business owners streamline their ordering with a great offering of innovative features. I highly value their unique search technology, finding products is really easy.

F: Lucky last, have there been any features that you were pleasantly surprised by when using Foodbomb? 

L: Yes, previously I had issues with chasing credits with my old suppliers, Foodbomb’s pre authorisation feature takes that hassel away. The support team is also great at making sure any credit, refund or replacement issues are looked after.
